Pfizer offers free expired drugs to recently unemployed customers

NEWS BRIEF
New York, NY- American pharmaceutical industry giant Pfizer announced today that they will be offering at least 20 different categories of expired prescription drugs free of charge to those who have recently lost their jobs and health insurance. "We know Americans are suffering and as an American drug company, we feel obligated to do our part to ensure the health of our citizens” stated Pfizer's Vice President of Marketing, Bill Wecken. Wecken further announced that although extracting expired drugs from large waste containers, bottling the individual drugs and shipping the bottles to drug distributors may cause the company to lose money, it is part of the company’s philanthropic mission to give back to the community. “Money was never a concern; we want our customers to be able to continue the vital expired medications they need, in a time of fear and uncertainty." The Pfizer spokesman stated that up to 50% of the expired medications are still effective. Pfizer’s marketing team hopes that the compassionate move may start to change the minds of millions who think drug companies are selfish and money hungry.
